Teaching Innovations

- Order of the Day

The undergraduate course is divided into several modules. Each module is completed within a stipulated time with students divided into small groups - and each group is handled by an individual faculty to ensure quality and ease the process of assessment.

The UG class of 100 students is divided into 6 batches - 16-17 student per batch and each batch is handled by an individual faculty which makes teaching and learning more personalised, more effective and aids an interactive environment. The classes are divided into a series of short lectures and activities after every lecture (10 minutes). Self learning is promoted by the activities and gamed conducted (Gamefication). Various methods employed include JIGSAW, KAHOOT, Peer led team based learning, Role play, Critical appraisal etc.

3. Research in undergraduate curriculum

Short term projects (5 every year ) in a part of the UG curriculum which includes various genres including genetic , molecular studies, clinical studies, nano particles, surveys and patents. Students are expected to do minimum of 5 projects everywhere which would be presented in the Annual Research Fiesta - STAR SUMMIT (Saveetha Transdisciplinary Annual Research Summit)
